Jun 16, 2018 · Anna Magdalena’s last surviving daughters were Johanna Carolina Bach (1737 – 1781) and Regina Susanna Bach (1742 – 1809) of whom little is known. It’s worth mentioning that Bach was 57 at the time of Regina’s birth. Seven children died immediately after birth or in infancy, four dying in very quick succession between 1727 and 1731.

Entry in the Catalogue of the musical estate of the deceased music director Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788), a stepson of Anna Magdalena Bach, printed in Hamburg in 1790. [1] This painting is lost.
Of the next generation, Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst Bach, also known as William Bach (24 May 1759 – 25 December 1845) was the eldest son of Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach and the only grandson of Johann Sebastian Bach to gain fame as a composer. He was music director to Frederick William II of Prussia. WFE's only son died in infancy.
Maria Barbara Bach was born at Gehren, Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, to Catherina (d. 1704) and Michael Bach (1648–1694). Her father was organist and town scribe at Gehren. [ 2 ] Her older sister, Barbara Catherina, gave testimony on Bach's behalf in the famous 'Geyersbach' incident in which Bach was punched in the face by a student and defended himself by drawing his sword. [ 3 ]
Jul 31, 2020 · The site of Maria Barbara's grave is not known. The Bach house in Cöthen. The couple had had seven children, of whom four were still alive at the time of their mother's death: Catharina Dorothea, Wilhelm Friedemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Gottfried Bernhard. The eldest was eleven, the youngest only five.
