According to his son Garrett, Nelson died in Las Vegas of natural causes. Nelson is survived by sons Garrett and Blue Nelson.

May 25, 2022 · Gary Nelson who was originally from Aghagallon but who lived in Bleary, Craigavon. Mr Nelson died suddenly on Monday. Requiem Mass for Gary will be celebrated on Friday at 2pm in St Paul’s Church, Lurgan with burial afterward in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Aghagallon.
