Gabriel "Gabi" Ashkenazi (Hebrew: גבי אשכנזי; born 25 February 1954) [1] is an Israeli politician and former military leader. He previously served as the minister of foreign affairs . [ 2 ] [ 3 ] He was the Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces from 2007 to 2011.
