Jul 25, 2019 · Cash payment is paid monthly, on the first Tuesday of each month. When you qualify for the Household Benefits Package you qualify for a free Television Licence from its next renewal date. You apply for this as part of your Household Benefits Package application.
Once you qualify for the Household Benefits Package, you can get a Free Television (TV) Licence from your next TV Licence renewal date. To get your Free TV Licence, you must select the Television Licence option on the HBP form when you apply.

You need a TV licence if you have a Smart TV, even if you only use the TV for streaming. This is because the TV is capable of receiving TV signals.
