Sam replaces the previous school mascot, hoping to impress Cindy and getting her to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Daniel, Ken, and Kim, suddenly become the basketball team's most rabid fans, following a series of run-ins with the jocks clique from William McKinley High School's rival school, Lincoln High.
When the cast reunited at PaleyFest 2011, Busy Philipps revealed that James Francowas told, unbeknown to her and the episode's director, Danny Leiner, that his character, Daniel, had been abused by...There is a father using a hand held VHS camcorder during the basketball game, but the handheld video camcorder wouldn't be introduced until the mid-1980s.During the game, a 3-point line is shown on the court. Jul 19, 2007 · If "We've Got Spirit" isn't the funniest or the deepest episode of the run, it still deserves credit for moving well, for putting so many balls up in the air and bringing them down simultaneously around the big game, and for the creatively awful way they brought the Lindsay and Nick storyline to a close.
Jul 24, 2013 · In “We’ve Got Spirit,” Cindy Sanders never realizes the amount of power she holds over Sam’s heart, while Lindsay is unable to bring herself to tell Nick something he desperately needs to...
Mar 7, 2012 · Today, we reach the halfway point of Freaks and Geeks, the short-lived TV classic from 1999 I’m spending Wednesdays this Spring reviewing and analyzing. This is Episode 9, “We’ve Got Spirit,” one of the funniest and most painful episodes yet!
Freaks and Geeks is an American teen comedy-drama television series created by Paul Feig and executive-produced by Judd Apatow that aired on NBC during the 1999–2000 television season. The show is set in a suburban high school near Detroit during 1980–81.
The Freaks storyline in this episode was pretty minor compared to the Geeks. Ken and Kim are always hilarious, though. Which makes me sad that they didn't have more screen time.
