Review: It's early in the London morning and a body of a young woman has been spotted floating in the Thames, near the docks, so the police fish it out of the water and set about attending to it, checking for any identification though there is none they can see, no jewelry or other personal effects.

Mar 26, 2023 · Four in the Morning (1965) **** Directors learned this early that you only had to point the camera at Judi Dench (Oscar winner for Shakespeare in Love , 1998, but here in her first starring role) and even without the benefit of dialog she will always be compelling.
Review by Chris Underwood ★★★★ Very fine UK film, probably now most famous for being John Barry’s first film score. At times rather languid, the dialogue is excellent and the performances effective.
