The Guldbagge Awards are Sweden’s leading film awards and have been presented since 1964 for outstanding contributions to Swedish film over the past year. During the years 1998–2022 Film Väst’s co-productions have been honoured with totally 181 Guldbagge Awards and additional 416 nominations.
May 23, 2022 · Based on Kim Leine’s autobiographical novel, the story centres on Jan, a family man and nurse, constantly on the run from himself after being sexually abused by his father as a teenager. The film is produced with Momento Film, Film i Väst with support among others from the Fund.
During 30 years Film i Väst has co-produced over 1300 films and drama series. Established in Trollhättan, Film i Väst is financed by local authorities in north-west, Västra Götaland, the European Union Regional Development Fund, the Swedish Film Institute, and its own earnings.
