The wings of the angel are spread wide. It is positioned on a tall column which has a likeness of King Edward, the peacemaker, etched on it. It was built in 1919 by the people of Bath. The statue appears to be spreading love and harmony.

Nov 26, 2011 · This is why the image was given the title of Our Lady of Peace, whose liturgical celebration is held on November 21 in memory of its arrival at San Miguel. The statute is a dressed wood carving, with the national shield of El Salvador embroidered on the front of the image's white robe.
