Jan 31, 2024 · I ended up using this solution viewtopic.php?t=414479 which was for Dell but I found a similar option in my HP laptop BIOS to specify the .efi to boot from. The reason for this was that my USB key did actually have a \EFI\BOOT\mmx64.efi file already, but it not possible to boot from it.

Dec 19, 2014 · I ran into this issue today but was able to fix it and save my install by following these steps: Download a live CD and boot on the affected machine. Open terminal. fdisk -l and cat /etc/fstab to see what devices are mounted where. mount the correct devices to the corrects parts of /mnt. mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev. mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc.
