The Althea Tapes is a six part mini series featuring Althea Szewczyk-Przygocki interviewing different survivors prior to and after her encounter with Morgan Jones. This release was done to help promote the second half of the fifth season of Fear the Walking Dead.
The first two episodes premiered on July 27, 2019, on The Walking Dead YouTube channel.

Original Air Date: July 27, 2019 After her encounter with Isabelle and the helicopter, Althea confesses a newfound hope for the future and the importance of her taped interviews.

Original Air Date: July 27, 2019 Al makes an arrangement with Ed, a reluctant survivor trying to get home to his family. Quid pro quo: Al will drive him to Tyler, Texas in exchange for Ed's story.
#3: Earl & CJ
Original Air Date: July 31, 2019 Al interviews C.J. and Earl, a mismatched pair of travelers with vastly different stories. Over the course of the interview, new insights change the way Earl and C.J. understand each other and a new course is charted.

Althea Szewczyk-Przygocki, more commonly known as Al, is a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC 's Fear the Walking Dead, as well as the protagonist of The Althea Tapes. Before the outbreak, she became a journalist in order to interview several individuals and document their personal stories.
