Feb 7, 2015 · No, 'fair enough' is not completely equivalent to 'OK'. 'OK' means many things and is very frequent. It can mean 'I agree' or 'I accept what you say' or 'Yes' or similar affirmatory things.
Fair enough implies that I have heard your argument and, while I did not originally hold the same opinion, you have made some good points that I agree with. Makes sense has a nuance of “You have explained something to me that I didn’t realize before.” It implies that I accept your reasons.

I remember reading that fair enough means "okay" and that fair point is used to acknowledge that what someone has just said makes sense and that you hadn't though of it before. I don't think that's 100% right, though. Take this sentence, for example:
