   I watched this film in 1964, when we were in the middle of the cold war. It really scared me, as did the evening news and daily paper. In the 1950s, when I was in grade school we did regular nuclear attack drills (if the bell rings 3 times it’s a fire drill - 5 times it’s a nuclear attack).
