Extended Power is an EP by the German heavy metal band Rage, released in 1991. It contains a new song, leftovers of the writing sessions for previous albums and the remake of the song "Battlefield" from the first Avenger album Prayers of Steel (albeit with different lyrics, reflected by the name "Bottlefield").
Apr 15, 1991 · Bottlefield (P. Wagner, J. Schröder / P. Wagner): This is a fun-version with new words of an very old song from Avenger, the band that became Rage in late '85. It was written in the summer of '83 and appeared on the Avenger album "Prayers Of Steel" (no more available), that came out in May '85.
The next track ,Bottlefield, is a RAGE classic from the Avenger days updated, rerecorded, and with altered lyrics. This one is a speed metal classic, one of the best around and this version is heavier than ever.
Andreas Marschall crafted one of the best cover images in their entire catalog, with some spidery demon queen ensnaring the Soundchaser in her multi-limbed clutches, and the production is quite good.
