Obituary of Ethel Anna Eckerson Pettit Ethel Anna Eckerson Pettit, 88, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Pettit was born in Tappan, NY, a daughter of the late Floyd and Wilhelmina May Conklin Eckerson.
Pettit wrote two novels, "Move Over" (1927) and "The Rich Are Always With Us" (1931) and had finished a mystery series her husband started before his death in 1935. Ethel Pettit Roche passed away after a short illness.
