Level 9, also known as The Darkened Suburbs, is a Level in Escape the Backrooms. It appears to be a Neighborhood at Night.
Level 9 is a Suburban Neighborhood at Night with Houses containing Items. The Streets are the most dangerous part of the Level, and there are Wretches that will guard 6 Houses.
Part 1: Turn on the Terminals
Once you first spawn in, explore the Neighborhood until you find the Big House at the top of the Level. This House will be guarded off with a Fence, as it stores The Abandoned Outpost inside. There will be a Terminal including a Mini Map of the Level, with 3 different Houses highlighted red (the Houses will be different everytime). Go to these Houses and find the Computers inside of them. Turn them on, and make sure to be careful, because there might be a Wretch in a House. Once they're all on, go back to the Big House and the Gate will be unlocked. In the House, find the Spray-Painted arrow pointing at a Door. Enter this door, and you will arrive at The Abandoned Outpost.
Part 2: Get the Administrator Card
In The Abandoned Outpost, you must find 4 bottles of Almond Concentrate and use them to return the Wretch who is roaming around the place back to normal. With this, you can get the Administrator Card it has and leave the Outpost. With the Card, go to the back of the Level. You should find a gate with a Administrator Card Terminal next to it. Use the Administrator Card on the Terminal to unlock the gate and get to Level 10.
Level 9 only has one Outpost that exists within the Level. This Outpost is:
•The Abandoned Outpost
Sometimes, you may spot some Male Deathmoths underneath a Street Light. If you have Bug Spray, you can use it to get Moth Jelly, but you might not be able to reach them.
This Level has a ton of Items you can find. These Items include:
•Almond Water
•Juice
•Energy Bar
•Liquid Pain
•Flashlight
Used Entities
•The Neighborhood Watch •Wretches •Male Deathmoths
To find The Hub Door in this Level, you must find a certain House at the start of the Level. This House has a Door that leads to a concrete staircase, and at the bottom is the Door. Keep in mind that the House does have a Wretch guarding the upstairs.
Entrances
•Unlock the Elevator in the Level 188 Courtyard in Level 0.11 and use it to get back to Level 8. Then, go up the path to get here.
Exits
•Use the Administrator Card at the back gate to get to Level 10. •Find the basement in the Center House to get to The Abandoned Outpost. •Find the House with the basement to find a Door to The Hub.
