As a team, we've done 205 rooms together; Individually, between 225 and 300. This is our fifth out-of-state team trip, following Los Angeles in 2018, Phoenix in 2019, Portland in 2021, and Los Angeles in 2022. We are not out to set speed records. We like good puzzles and room flow, narrative, and immersion.

- The Room. The Room won’t let any players under the age of 15 into their rooms, so you know they mean business. “The Cabin” is particularly grisly: Players must find their way out of a carnivorous serial killer’s home to avoid being consumed.
- Maze Rooms. Maze Rooms takes the traditional escape room format to a new dimension in its VR game. After donning Oculus Rift headsets, players find themselves in a space station on the edge of the cosmos.
- Entropy LA. The Los Angeles escape room with the strongest commitment to its theme is undoubtedly Entropy LA. During this 90-minute, six-person experience, players help Entropy test a dimension-hopping time machine by solving a series of puzzles.
- Fox in a Box Los Angeles. The themed rooms at Fox in a Box range from history (evading the Zodiac killer or finding Nikola Tesla’s final invention) to fantasy (planning the diamond heist of the century or saving yourself from a zombie attack).
Tense: hell yes. Scary, yup, you’ll feel it, but not like haunted-house-things-jumping-out-all-the-time kind of scary. Nicely themed hint system. Rated a 4.3, seems right. Great for a team of 3-5. Minor spoilers: If you cooperate with the theme, this room is like being in a horror thriller movie.
Set Design: Good. Difficulty: Medium. Price: $40/person. Number of players: 2-8 (we recommend 2-4) Duration: 75 minutes. Played in 2021. Overall Rating: ★★★★ ★. Maze Rooms: Magic Kingdom (Los Angeles) I played this a while back but it still stands in my memories as a beautiful and magical fairy tale experience.
