Nov 10, 2014 · Ernest Kinoy was a writer who worked in radio, television, theater and film for more than 50 years. He received several awards for his work, including two Emmy Awards. Born in New York City in 1925, Kinoy served in the Army during World War II.
Late in 1981, veteran Broadway producer Don Gregory brought together Emmy award-winning writer Ernest Kinoy, DC Comics writer and lyricist Lee Goldsmith, and freshman composer Roger Anderson to develop a musical based on the early life of Charlie Chaplin.
