In addition to conferring the Doctor of Medicine Degree, OU College of Medicine offers a Physician Associate Program and a MD/PhD dual degree program to meet the unique interests of medical students. The college also offers students the option to take MPH coursework.
We offer a curriculum that allows our students to master the many intricacies of the field. This includes a core curriculum during the first two years and then subsequent engagement in mentored research. Our students interact with and work with world-class faculty on our campus in Oklahoma City.

MD/PhD Program. The dual-degree MD/PhD program is designed to maximize our combined institutional, medical, and research facilities, faculties, and staffs to prepare future physician-scientists for careers in academic medicine and clinical investigation.
The Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (GPiBS) is a first-year, interdisciplinary program serving seven degree programs at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). Students will graduate with a PhD from one of the participating programs to prepare them for careers in biomedical sciences.
