Erdman Penner (January 17, 1905 - November 10, 1956) was a Canadian screenwriter and producer, known for his work with Walt Disney, including writing the screenplays for Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp among others.
An occasional musician, Penner played the saxophone, tuba, and violin, as well as wrote songs for some of the films he was writing. He was the original bass saxophonist and tuba player for the Firehouse Five Plus Two.
Erdman Penner was born on 17 January 1905 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada. He was a writer and director, known for Sleeping Beauty (1959), Cinderella (1950) and Lady and the Tramp (1955). He died on 10 November 1956 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
