Gates (John Stamos) tries to pull some strings in the ER to help his homeless war hero. Banfield is reminded of her own experience at County with Dr. Greene (guest star Anthony Edwards) caring for her son as she tries to save the young three-year-old girl from certain death. Meanwhile, the interns continue to struggle to keep up in the ER.

Just watched Heal Thyself (season 15 ep. 7) and it’s the best episode I’ve seen in soooo long! I’ve been (very slowly) making my way through all the seasons since it first came out on Hulu. These later seasons have been a low key struggle! So I was extra happy about this one. I thought this episode was great!
S15-7 Heal Thyself. "Heal Thyself" was written and directed by David Zabel. At the end of the episode, we saw... "for Sheldon Zabel, in loving memory."
The doctors and nurses of County's ER confront the daily challenges of a busy urban hospital, including overcrowded waiting rooms, staffing shortages, and the impact of life-and-death decisions. While they teach the next generation of doctors, each must tackle the demands of their personal lives, at times unsuccessfully.
