- Dead Children’s Playground. Dead children’s playground is set in the middle of Maple Hill Cemetery, which is the largest and oldest cemetery in Alabama.
- Cedarhurst Mansion, a.k.a. the ‘Sally Carter House’ This home, located inside the Cedarhurst subdivision off Drake Avenue (which, unfortunately, makes this spot harder to visit unless you have permission from a resident of the gated community), was built in 1823 and occupied by the family of Stephen Ewing.
- Lowry House. Built before the Civil War, the Lowry House part of the Underground Railroad, and the home has been the site of many sightings and noises in the house that could be the spirits of those desperate souls, according to renowned ghost hunter Lesley Ann Hyde of Southern Ghost Girls.
- Thomas Bibb’s Grave. Thomas Bibb was President of the Alabama State Senate and became the second governor of Alabama, following his brother’s death. Bibb owned a plantation in Limestone County, and wanted to buried at his beloved Belle Mina plantation, but his wishes were not honiored when he died, as he is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery.

- Sally Carter. The mansion known as Cedarhurst, which now sits in a small subdivision off Drake Avenue, is known to be the haunting ground of Huntsville’s most famous ghost.
- Huntsville’s Haunted Depot. Entering the historic train depot on Church Street, one of the oldest in Alabama, takes us back to yesteryear. The depot saw its last passenger train come through in 1968, and has since been converted to a museum.
- Thomas Bibb. Thomas Bibb was a State Senator, the second Governor of Alabama and a wealthy plantation owner. After his death in 1839 he was buried in a plot behind his plantation known as Belle Mina in Limestone County, but his eternal rest would prove to be anything but peaceful.
- The Dead Children’s Playground. Behind Maple Hill Cemetery sits a small park named Maple Hill Park, but more people know the park by its nickname, The Dead Children’s Playground.
