Aug 17, 2023 · This past fall, I spoke remotely with Austrian/German directors Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter about their work on the beautifully elliptical documentary Space Dogs (which I also reviewed). The movie tells two stories in parallel, that of the Soviet space program in its early days and of the life of street dogs in Moscow today.
