We sat down with them to discuss morality, Soviet cinema, and working with four-legged protagonists. Space Dogs has just premiered in the Concorso Cineasti del presente section of the 72nd Locarno Film Festival.
Space Dogs: Directed by Elsa Kremser, Levin Peter. With Aleksey Serebryakov, Natalia Kuranova, Nadezhda Sobetskaya, Mikhail Zolotarev. They are Moscow's stray shadows: a "pack" of dogs and humans, claiming their territory where the city is crumbling and yet reveals a magical landscape.

The economic collapse has forced many factories to close, turning the landscape into a wasteland. Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter continue the exploration they began in their previous film SPACE DOGS.
