Jun 14, 2023 · I recommend that the filmmakers find an actor as remarkable as Reeve and avoid the only force more painful to Superman than Kryptonite: Slapstick. Adding Richard Pryor to the Superman franchise in 1983 didn't keep the saga afloat. It made Superman III a slapstick-driven dud.
