Jun 11, 2023 · Elder Dragons are a Monster species in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise). Species refers to the classification of different Monsters within the ecosystem, and determine certain characteristics of the monsters, their habitat and their actions.
Most monsters are easy to classify: you just look at their body types, and you get your answer. Elder dragons are a bit more convoluted though. There are a few things that go towards a monster being an elder dragon, and I'll show in a bit why some monsters do or don't fit into this classification.
Elder Dragon-Level Monsters (Japanese 古龍級生物) are monsters that can bring major damage to ecosystems or monsters that are comparable in strength to Elder Dragons. There are two different types of Elder Dragon-Level Monsters, Elder Dragon Influenced Monsters and Elder Dragon Strength Monsters.
