The permanent party UH campus at Edwards Air Force Base consists of 12 dormitory buildings that are configured one of three ways. Two the dormitories are configured with the new AF standard; the "Dorms-4-Airmen" configuration, which consist of a private bath and a shared living/kitchen area.
Edwards Air Force Base occupies territory once explored by Spanish colonists and settled by pioneer homesteaders. The military base began as a stark and remote bombing range in 1933 and went on to become a major bomber training base in World War II.
