A diverse collection of 22,000 prints showing architecture, people, industry and landscapes from the 1850s to the latter part of the 20th century. From calotype to autochrome, the Historic England Archive reveals 15 historic photographic processes to explore in its extensive collections.
Three floors of exhibitions will present the diverse landscape of British photography today, as well as an historical overview. The 8,000 sq. ft. Centre will be FREE to visit year-round and will offer exhibitions, events and talks, a shop and an archive and library.
