Feb 5, 2021 · Hutspot is one of those traditionally Dutch evening dishes, that is especially eaten during winter. It’s hearty, filling and easy: everything you can wish for. It’s a form of stamppot, typical Dutch food to eat: vegetables, mashed potatoes and (usually) a piece of meat.
It's not only eaten on the 3rd of October, but is an extremely popular evening meal during the cold winter days. Hutspot is traditionally served with klapstuk, a piece of braised beef, but sometimes will also be eaten with a typical Dutch meatball.
Oct 9, 2018 · In a large pot, or Dutch oven, melt 25g of butter and add the bay leafs. Generously salt and pepper your piece of meat and brown the meat on all sides in the melted butter on medium-high heat. Add the boiled hot water to the pot with the meat.
