Stop the Suffering (STS) is a Columbus, Ohio based nonprofit that rescues dogs and cats from high kill shelters, primarily in Ohio, and to transport them to safety. We operate a dog adoption program and match dogs to their forever home.
Our current lineup of adoptable dogs is below, and we can recommend potential matches too. Have another dog at home? Bring it with you! Our trained staff are happy to help with dog-to-dog introductions. If you fall in love, you'll take your new dog home that day, along with an adoption care package made just for you.
Sep 2, 2020 · The dogs arrive from six partner shelters and typically spend three days at Gigi’s before being transferred to one of 17 adoption centers. On day one, they receive medical care. Day two, they are evaluated for their behavior, and on day three, they are spayed and neutered.
Powell Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer, foster-based dog rescue serving the Columbus, Ohio area. Our volunteers find loving homes for dogs from overpopulated shelters in Ohio and neighboring states.
Oct 4, 2018 · Gigi’s is a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot facility equipped to house approximately 40 adult dogs and puppies. It serves as a midway point between shelters in rural areas that have an abundance of homeless dogs (source shelters) and shelters who have unmet capacity to get dogs adopted into great homes (destination shelters).
Each year we rescue thousands of dogs who have been lost, discarded, abandoned, injured, or neglected within in Franklin County. We do everything we can to find a loving and responsible new homes for every adoptable dog or puppy that enters our care.
