    The intended pilot for this series was a 2-hour TV-movie titled Dragnet 1966 (with the promotional title World Premiere: Dragnet). This movie wasn't broadcast until 1969-01-27, about halfway through the third season of the series. This movie is included as an extra in the Dragnet 1968DVD set.
