Pootlepops18, unfortunately I don't know anything about the 11+ entry as my DD did 13+, but I hope your daughter likes the school when she goes for a visit. I have sent a pm. Not sure if answer is still needed but I attended WA from 2009-2016 and loved every second.

7th Aug 2024. comment. Downe House is an archetypal all-girl, selective English boarding school that scores consistently in the top five of all UK schools for academic attainment. Outgrowing its original home within the house of Charles Darwin, the school moved to Cold Ash, a village near Newbury, in 1921.
Family home of Charles and Emma Darwin from 1842 until their death. In 1907 the house became Downe House, a school for girls run by Miss Olive Willis until 1921. In 1927 the house was bought by Sir George Buckston Brown and work commenced to turn the house into the Darwin museum.
