    • Santa Maria della Salute. The Salute is Venice’s most spectacular Baroque church. Queening over the Grand Canal, it’s one of the most recognizable images of Venice.
    • Accademia Gallery. The Galleria dell’Accademia is a one stop shop for Venetian painting. It’s a treasure trove of great art and one of the best things to do in the Dorsoduro.
    • Accademia Bridge. Standing right in front of the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Accademia Bridge is one of the only four bridges that span the Grand Canal in Venice.
    • Peggy Guggenheim Collection. This remarkable establishment is the third most visited museum in Venice, though it always seems packed to me. It was founded by one of Venice’s most colorful expat residents, Peggy Guggenheim.
    • Spend your evening in the liveliest center of the Venetian nightlife. In Campo Santa Margherita, university students gather after their lessons. Here they have their aperitifs and drink their spritz or wine, while chatting with friends.
    • Have a nice walk along the Dorsoduro district, from San Basilio till Punta della Dogana. In Dorsoduro you can go for long walks, experiencing another side of Venice, far from the crowdedness of the streets that lead to San Marco Square.
    • Visit the most famous modern art museum of Venice. Punta della Dogana is truly a gem area. One of the most incredible gems is surely the Guggenheim Museum.
    • Explore the church where lies the great artist Paolo Veronese. Close to the Fondamenta Zattere and the Squero di San Trovaso, which we will explore later, there is this little church dedicated to San Sebastian.
    • Church of San Pantalon – Banksy. The Church of San Pantalon has been rebuilt and redesigned several times over the years. The current structure dates back to 1704, although the main brick facade remains unfinished.
    • Campo Santa Margherita – Church of Santa Maria dei Carmini. Once you have seen the mural, the itinerary moves on to one of the liveliest places in Venice: Campo Santa Margherita.
    • Church of Santa Maria dei Carmini - Ponte dei Pugni - Church of San Barnaba. Leaving the Church of Santa Maria dei Carmini behind, take the fork on the right that leads off Campo Santa Margherita towards Rio Terrà Canal, until you reach the Ponte dei Pugni (Bridge of Fists).
    • Campo San Barnaba - Squero di San Trovaso. Continue by crossing through the Sotoportego Casin dei Nobili, then walk along Calle Lombardo and Fondamenta della Toletta until you reach Sacca della Toletta, home to a number of bars, pastry shops and a historic bookshop, where you might like to take a short break.
