Aug 11, 2017 · “Good Time” is essentially one long chase movie—the story of a man trying to evade capture for a bank robbery and get his brother out of the predicament into which he threw him—and Pattinson perfectly conveys the nervous energy of being essentially hunted by your own bad decisions without ever feeling like he’s chewing scenery.
Good Time (2017) is the best movie I have seen in a long time. Maybe in a decade. All of the performances were incredible. The script was tight and the pace was relentless. All of the characters came off as very genuine and believable to me despite some of the extreme circumstances they often put themselves in.
The best definition I could give about the movie is that it's a dark-comedy played straight. I personally had a lot of fun and guilty pleasure seeing Pattison as an unhinged narcissist fucking up absolutely everything he touches.
For anyone who hasn’t seen Good Time yet I highly recommend it as it’s one of the best films of last year, if you’re in the UK it’s been put on Netflix. I just got finished watching the Feature Commentary and at the end they begin to discuss how audiences were split on the ending whether they thought it was a happy or sad ending.
