International freshmen applicants are eligible to apply for all Vanderbilt merit-based scholarships offered at Vanderbilt. To be considered for merit-based scholarships, complete the appropriate applications online. Students should be aware that merit-based scholarships are awarded only to a select few of our most exceptional applicants each year.
For international students admitted for fall 2024, Vanderbilt offered need-based aid and/or merit scholarships to 75 students representing 48 countries. The range of awards offered was $20,674–$102,313 per year for four years.
Roughly 1% of the entire freshman applicant pool will be offered a merit-based scholarship award. The number of merit scholarships is limited, as the majority of Vanderbilt’s student financial assistance is provided in the form of need-based financial aid.
