  1. May 30, 2004 · I have a chance to pick up a V10 from a truck (not the new SRT but the earlier V10's). The truck is totalled but the engine is apparently in good shape. I am thinking of various vehicles I could throw it in. I'm trying to figure out what the differences were between these V10's and the Viper's V10.

  5. The v10 used from 1994 - 2002 was not the Viper motor. It is an 8.0 litre 488c.i. magnum v10. 300 hp 450 lb-ft torque. The 8th letter in the vin should be a W. The V10 used 2004-2006 is the viper motor. 8.3 litre 505c.i. viper v10. 505hp 535 lb-ft torque. It will have viper valve covers and very distinguishing viper intake. I hope this helps.
