I have just replaced my old primary C:\ drive and rebuilt Windows, reinstalled Steam etc - and now I want to point Steam to my games directories on the D:\ drive. Can anyone advise if this is possible?
Jul 29, 2023 · What I tried doing so far: -Steam Setting Storage, Add directory. It adds the directory but it doesn't scan for games even if I click on the exact folder. -Tried rebooting along with rebooting after above procedure. -Restore Games From Backup does not work; Nothing happens when I choose a folder or anything.

I'm not sure if this helps, but you can actually get Steam to only show you the backgrounds and accessories related to just the games you have, by clicking on "Items From Games" on the left hand aide of the Points Shop screen.
Games are installed to the following folder by default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. You can create an alternate location on any drive, which you can choose in the future when installing games. Navigate to your Steam client 'Settings' menu. Select the 'Storage' tab.
