SERENITY aims to develop and evaluate a shared decision tool to support patients, their companions and healthcare professionals make evidence based and informed decisions regarding antithrombotic medicines near the end of life.
SERENITY attempts to solve the current clinical dilemmas around the use of antithrombotic therapy in people with cancer. It entails various types of research: a cross-sectional flashmob study, a realist review, nationwide epidemiological studies, qualitative studies, and consensus studies (Fig. 1).
