- Anna Kendrick (Beca) Anna Kendrick played Beca in all three Pitch Perfect films. She’s a bit of a rebel at first and doesn’t take the Barden Bellas that seriously, but she bonds with the women and finds her voice within the group.
- Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy) In Pitch Perfect, Rebel Wilson played Fat Amy, a young woman not afraid to be her unapologetic self, which usually led to comedic gold.
- Brittany Snow (Chloe) Brittany Snow played the simple but sweet Chloe in all three Pitch Perfect films. She was one of the original Bellas who worked to recruit Beca and the others.
- Anna Camp (Aubrey) Anna Camp played Aubrey, the disgraced leader of the Bellas who must recruit new women in order to try to regain the group’s former glory.

- The Musical Numbers Are A Ca-Amazing. Banks says that, due to the stakes, the Bellas have to go big or go home in the sequel. "It is bigger," says the actress.
- Rebel Wilson Does Death-Defying Stuntwork. The actress told EW on the set that this go round will be much more physical for her character, Fat Amy. "I've been training with this coach from Cirque du Soleil for the opening sequence," reveals Wilson.
- There's Another "Riff Off" The sequel's version takes place in the mansion of an a cappella aficionado played by David Cross (Arrested Development). You will hear a cappella versions of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats."
- Not Everyone Is Still a Bella. Aubrey, played by Anna Camp (True Blood), does return, but is no longer in the Bellas: "She did graduate, and she did move on.
The Barden Bellas return in Pitch Perfect 2 to compete in the World Championships of A Cappella while also dealing with internal conflicts and personal issues. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson reprise their roles as Beca Mitchell and Patricia Hobart, while Hailee Steinfeld introduces a new character, the aspiring songwriter Emily Junk.
