Disability Support Services acts as an advocate for students with disabilities and works with 500-600 students per semester. In addition to helping students understand university policies and practices, we assist students in addressing personal and academic concerns.
Assistive technology is available in various locations on campus and can enhance self-reliance. Training can be coordinated through the DSS Office. A brief description of each follows.
Aug 26, 2024 · Available resources include, but are not limited to, additional time allotted for exams; note-taking assistance during classroom sessions; assistive technology devices; classroom modifications to promote ease of physical access; and much more.
Sep 1, 2020 · Disability Support Services (DSS) continue to offer the same pre-pandemic services with the added option of virtual meetings. Individualized accommodations are available from interpreting services to extended testing time.

Director Sarah Guadalupe heads the program offering a range of support for any students, and the pandemic has not limited the services offered.
