Pigs roll in the mud when it’s hot, because it cools them and keeps bugs off of them. I think a mud block would just be better, so they can do it when it’s really sunny.
Preety cool! The tulips on their head are preety cool detail too, but if it will apear on head of every mud pig, it will became boring.
So here's my simple suggestion: pigs are attracted to these blocks and like walking on them, temporarily changing their texture to a muddy one. Baby pigs would be more attracted to mud than adult ones. I think this would be a simple, but cool and realistic behavior. Archived post.
