I've seen this reported so much since I first noticed this months ago and it's still not fixed. Absolutely unbearable -- played this game nonstop until then but haven't played more than a couple seconds since just to see if the glitch still exists
apparently it's a moveset swap glitch, the exploiter used the saw weapon art of Ghiza's Wheel and does some weird tricks to transfer it to the Serpent Hunter, which for some reason also increases its range

It's not as bad as it was in World, but it does still exist. That being said, sometimes it glitches in the hunter's favor now, with the attack landing hits despite missing a body part...
