Groton School is a private college-preparatory day and boarding school located in Groton, Massachusetts. It is affiliated with the Episcopal tradition. Groton enrolls about 380 boys and girls from the eighth through twelfth grades, dubbed Forms II-VI in the British fashion.

Residents of every dorm share large living rooms called common rooms, adjacent to the resident faculty apartment. Common rooms are comfortably furnished, some with fireplaces, and have small kitchens. At Groton, Second Formers live with Second Formers, and Third Formers live with Third Formers.
At Groton, our lives revolve around the Circle, with the Schoolhouse, Dining Hall, chapel, and dorms lining the edges. The Circle represents Groton’s small community, and students are likely to run into somebody they know during the school day and after sports, and the Circle is designed to facilitate such interactions.
Classes are important, but so is fun. Most of the time fun is unscheduled. You’ll hang out with friends on the Circle or during a meal, take a spontaneous walk to the river, or listen to music in a dorm room. But Groton also builds fun right into the routine.
Nov 17, 2023 · Fourth, fifth, and sixth formers (10th, 11th, and 12th graders) live together in Upper School dorms. Sixth formers also have the option of serving as a dorm prefect for younger grades. Each dorm is led by a faculty member who lives in the dorm.
