Jun 21, 2024 · To make Ecosia your default search engine in Chrome, follow these steps: Open Settings within Chrome - If you are using a Mac you can also find Chrome’s settings by clicking on Preferences. Go to search engine and select Ecosia as your default search engine.
Do one search in Ecosia, go to settings>search engines. Search for Ecosia (it's not on the list of the default search engines with Bing, Duck duck go etc), right click and set as default. No need to install the chrome plugin.
