The Rooms, (unlike other floors), can only be accessed via a secret passage at or close to Door 60 in The Hotel. At around Door 60, players will encounter a disheveled room with multiple bookshelves and a single closet, with soft tranquil music emanating faintly from the walls.

- Guiding Light. Guiding Light serves as the experience's narrator/guide, assisting players through portions of the hotel by using glowing blue particles to point them in the right direction.
- Rush. Rush is one of the first, if not the first, entities players will encounter in The Hotel. When Rush spawns, the lights in multiple rooms will flicker, and you'll hear a distorted growling sound—this is your sign to hide!
- Ambush. Each time that Rush is set to spawn, there's a very low chance that Ambush will spawn in its place. Like Rush, Ambush will make the lights flicker, create a distorted noise before it appears, and run through all of the nearby hallways/rooms.
- Hide. For those who find comfort in hiding when the going gets scary, Hide is here to ruin your day. This figureless entity spawns when players have spent too much time hiding under beds or inside vents or closets.

Apr 18, 2024 · After floor A-200, exit doors will start to spawn every 50-100 levels that will take you back to the Hotel, specifically the Infirmary on floor 68. Additionally, you will retain your shakelight and get the achievement 'Back On Track.'

Screech can follow you out of dark rooms so long as he spawns while you're in the dark room. Screech always appears behind your back, but can be above or below you too. When you hear a "Psst", do a 180, then look up and down to find Screech easily.
