  3. Feb 8, 2013 · Blackberry Device Manager shows it as being connected too, but it just doesn't get mapped for some reason and wont show up in BB Link. When i plug it in, i get a pop up in the corner saying "device detected, initializing access" but after that nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution?

Step 2: Right-click the Start button, then select Device Manager. Next, click Portable Devices so that it expands. Step 3: Right-click on Apple iPhone (or whatever your PC may call your iPhone).
