I currently have fibe tv, fibe internet, HH3000 and a 4k box. I understand that fibe tv requires the HH. If I wanted to drop the internet and go with a different provider (still high speed fiber), how would I route the internet into the HH3000. Or am I completely wrong about how this works.
You won't have internet access through the modem as it will strictly be used for TV purposes only. So the only actual difference would be on the account side, not on the equipment side. You won't need pods as they're internet only devices.
At the very least XplorerNet should have their IPs registered with the ISP's headquarter's info, with the country as Canada. But nope. NOTHING. So when bell's fibe TV service does a geographic lookup to see if the IP is canadian, it gets zero info, and it assumes the IP is not canadian.
Viewing live content on your TV screen with a Bell Streamer, Google Chromecast TM, Apple TV (4th gen. or 4K box), AirPlay, Amazon Fire TV (basic edition or higher), or Android TV (Google-certified) is only available in-home and requires eligible Bell Internet.
Feb 16, 2021 · I'm not sure about the specifics of connecting a different modem. However, I subscribe to only Bell Fibe TV and have the same Home Hub 3000 that connects to my PVR/Receivers. I had another internet provider when I got Fibe TV, so did not get their internet.
Bell Fibe TV is an IP-based television service offered by Bell Canada in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. It is bundled with a FTTN or FTTH Bell Internet service, and uses the Mediaroom platform.
