The Army offers a range of financial support packages, bursaries and scholarships to selected officer candidates during further and higher education. All applicants for bursaries or scholarships must meet the officer eligibility standards and pass the Army Officer Selection Board .
U.S. Army War College Distance Education Course allows you to participate in a 2-year, rigorous program of instruction that results in the award of the same graduation certificate and the same fully accredited master of science degree awarded to graduates of the resident program.
The Resident Education Program (REP) will graduate in early June and followed by the Distance Education Program (DEP) in mid-July —together they will comprise the USAWC Class of 2021. It would be an understatement to say that their Carlisle Experience was different from previous years.

The four scholarships funded by the Distance Education 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 classes will be awarded to children of Distance Education graduates (from all USAWC class years) regardless of the parent's Foundation membership.
