Oct 13, 2021 · Young people in rural areas: a report. On behalf of CPRE, the countryside charity, YouGov conducted this unique online survey of 1,019 16-25 year olds living in ‘rural’ and ‘town and fringe’ areas in England to examine why young people feel forced to leave the countryside.
Key findings. Afordable housing Of those surveyed, 72% of young people living in rural areas say afordable housing is their top concern. 84% of those who want to leave say it is an important factor in making their decision.
