In another upload, Shea guides us around the entry and office space in the house. It definitely sticks to their “dark but light” feel they mention during the show.
The kitchen in this house can only be described as the kitchen of dreams. Shea says it’s her favourite room to design and it sets the tone for the rest of the rooms in the house. Watch the full kitchen tour on YouTube here.
Arguably not the most interesting room in the house, but it’s still very pretty. Shea explainsthat the house doesn’t have a separate kitchen and dining space, the rooms are open-plan and blend from one to the other.
The focal point of the McGee house is the great room – their living room. The kitchen, dining and great room are all open plan together and it’s where the family spend the most of their time. Watch the full Great Room tour on YouTube here.
The master bedroom and master bathroomtours are split across two YouTube videos on the McGee channel. The rustic, light style continues – including their huge grey headboard and free standing bath tub.
If you thought the interior design may have been toned down for their daughter’s rooms, think again. Eldest daughter Wren’s roomliterally looks like the inside of a dolls’ house. And she has her own en-suite, of course.
Up next is youngest daughter Ivy’s room. Ivy’s bedroom has subtle hints of pink and she also has her own bathroom.
Finally we see the McGee family backyard, patio and outdoor living space. They have loads of outdoor seating, a playing frame for the girls, a plants and gardening area, loads of grass space, a huge bbq and a sunken trampoline.
