    Our James A. Garfield family will have a positive attitude, act respectfully, work responsibly, and show self-control.

    Our vision is to empower our James A. Garfield family to be productive, kind, caring citizens that value life-long learning and are responsible, respectful, critical-thinkers.

    We offer a learning garden, which is completely maintained by classrooms in our building. We grow and harvest vegetables several times a year, which are available to residents of the Southeast side.
    Our fifth grade class built, decorated, and filled five Little Free Libraries that we placed around Bates-Hendricks and on School 31 property. These libraries will be maintained by scholars.
    We utilize Restorative Justice and Peer Mediation, which has led to a 90% decrease in out of school suspensions.
    We have community donations that provide extra meals to Horizon House.
